Autumnal Equinox 2024 – Falling into Balance & the Change of Light:

 You are invited to join us for the Vernal equinox Sunday, September 22 as we align, once again, to the powerful portals of time.

 We pivot from the light of summer towards the fall & its harvest energies. Here you have an opportunity to tune into “balance point” the place where the day and night are equal with darkness & light.  

During this ceremonial time we will create a haywa (high-wah) also known as a despacho or a gratitude bundle. As we join forces in community, we ask that you bring your highest forms of gratitude and clear intentions so you may cultivate personal healing and inner balance. With the intensified portal of the equinox, and the focus of the group, this healing may extend beyond you, and your Self, and expand out to Community and to our beloved Pachamama. 

In addition – there will be a sound experience or a guided journey to deepen your connection to the changing light within.

 What to bring:

-  Open Heart & Highest forms of gratitude

-  Layers, dress ready for Bay Area changing weather

-  Yoga mat (or equal size towel/blanket) if we lay to journey/sound scape

-  Water bottle if you like

MORE ABOUT Haywa’s or Gratutude Bundles:

The creation of a haywa, or haywaricuy (hai-wah-ree-kwee)/despachos is an act of ayni or sacred reciprocity.  This powerful ritual is a way to acknowledge and feed the unseen realm & spirit world. We feed them with our blessings, intentions, prayers & gratitude.

It is an active way to give thanks to all the nature helpers for all that has been given to us and to offer gratitude for what is yet to come. 

Once the bundle is created, it is folded into a package, and may be offered ceremonially to fire, a running stream or the ocean, or buried in the earth.

When the ritual items transform and break down alchemically, this energetic exchange is food for the unseen realm. In essence, your prayers of gratitude are food for the nature helpers.
